Capitol Correspondents Association gridiron show programs, 1960-2003.

This collection consists of 38 gridiron show programs: 30 from the Capitol Correspondents Association in Baton Rouge, La. (1960-2003) and eight from the Central Louisiana Press Club in Alexandria, La. (1968-1984). The programs contain the lyrics to song parodies written by the press members to roast politicians at the national, state and local levels throughout Louisiana, as well as other newsworthy individuals and issues from the preceding year, including the LSU football team. The Louisiana governors and their policies were popular subjects to lampoon throughout this time period.
